Upgrade of Smugmug service

How does an upgrade work? I am thinking about initially getting a regular account, and then possibly later upgrading to a pro account. Is that workable, or do you just have to buy the pro account from scratch, and waste the initial purchase price?

    wave.gif welcome! Nothing's wasted!:D If you upgrade, we take into account what you've spent, and we prorate the remaining amount. You won't lose anything.
