Clearly your style is "in your face", and that's a very powerful style if you can perfect it. For now I think it needs some work. Shots 3, 5, and 8 for example are just too close. Close shots need to capture intense emotion or intense beauty to work, they usually do *not* work for other emotions or subjects. For candid photos, usually a little bit more of the environment is better at telling the story.

Just the biggest tip that comes to mind. Good work by and large! :-)

Pretty nice...I know your clients will be very happy with your work.

19 is a really neat shot...you can see the wedding party in the LCD screen of the point and shoot...well done...and 23 is also very nice. Captured at just the right moment...just before the kiss...a lot of people don't know that and capture the kiss...and while romantic in motion...in stopped action, you can get some really weird looking lip action. Not everyone is a sensual kisser.

You seem to have an eye for emotion...a lot good captures here.

My daughter flew all the way out to California some years ago and her first comment about the photography was that the photographer didn't capture any of the emotion.

You got a good start in that direction...number 26 comes to mind here.

I also agree with what Matt said...nice to have a bunch of close ups...but be sure that you show the venue...especially if it's really nice.

Thanks so much. I can totally see where you are all coming from with not being in so tight with some of the shots. The venue was VERY cool and I wish I would have showcased it a bit more in those shots. Live and learn. Though it wouldnt have occured to me they were too close in without your recomendations.

Love this forum, thanks for all of your help everyone!

Have two more weddings coming up before mid october (second shooting) and will work to incorporate your recomendations.

REMEMBER: You can ONLY say this because you were not the primary photographer! Otherwise, you'd be in for quite a bashing. "Live and learn" is just not right at all when you're responsible for the MAIN photos...
