    Thanks to all who posted on this thread. I just wanted to give you an update.

    I have received a reply back from the mother of the child and it went something like this:

    OMG!!!!! Liz, OMG!

    lol--I think she was very happy :D. Yeay.

    I'm glad to hear the parents were happy, that's what it's all about in the end.
    Excellent work methinks, and quite an educational thread too!
    I haven't done kids, but want to, so my subscription to this thread will be part of my preparation!!

    You have received some great comments and I think they are on target. One thing I will add, in the few occasions that I have been asked to take portraits, I give the client the option to choose the place, but I choose the time to get the light I want.
