Couple of bugs from yesterday - 5Dmk2/MPE-65/430Ex flash.
Playing again with a light dispersing sheet on the flash head. Not sure if it makes much difference though.

Common wasp eating a honey drop

A bit of a stretch - hoverfly Syritta pipiens on a Japanese anemone.

last 2 frames great! not seen any of the last hover this year

wasp shots do look a little flatter than normal

Wow the wasp looks so amazing. I absolutely like the second one where you can see the small of hairs of the wasp. It actually looks a little bit futuristic. Also the palps of the wasp look amazing. I really like the pictures.
