Hi gang,

Just putting up my collection of scenic pictures. Can't decide on the best way to put my signature on my images;

. . . by watermark:

. . . or using a border with a signature:

Any thoughts? By the way, my images are just for display for now. Not planning on selling any online.

Thanks :):

Peter

    I'd ditch that border, just my opinion.

    Hi..

    This particular photo works better without the frame.

    Lovely shot.

    Peter,

    with this type of shot I'd consider a black outer border with a small white inner border for framing, that might work, otherwise I'd choose the watermark version thumb.gif

    You might find it convenient to set up a couple of different borders as macros in PS - that way you can pick the one you like the most. I like both equally in this case although the white border does distract somewhat fromt the image itself so i would be inclined to go with the watermark.

    Thanks . . .
    Thanks for the feedback everyone. Appreciate you taking the time.

    It seems it comes down to the fact that not just one type of border is good for all pictures. I was looking at using a standard border on all the pics I post on my smugmug site. However, in looking at images in different frames it is obvious that the type of border used can vary the impact of the picture.

    By the way Michal, the picture is of sun behind clouds :): . . .

    Take care.
