Just a few of my faves for this year's Renaissance Faire in Irwindale, Ca.
1.
2.
3.
4.
These were shot with a borrowed Sigma lens 80-400MM with stabilization and while I thought it a nice lens I much prefer the 50-500 for sharpness even without stabilization..
I was definitely drawn to the character in #2 as he had this thing going pretty good :-) DaddyO I was grateful for the loaner as I find it quite appealing to shoot long at these types of events but I think there was a bit of an issue with the image stabilization on the lens. At 100 percent magnification I'm used to seeing very sharp images but I just didn’t get that with this lens.

Nice to know the lens info you provided.
