I recently did a business style portrait session for a very nice fellow who is developing a site focused on Commercial Real Estate/Development. I listened to the feedback I received in a previous thread and I am hoping I improved a bit. Please tell me what you think!
OK I'm just gonna throw the gloves off here bear with me... I also didn't see the other thread so this is my first impression.
I like the setting in 3 and 4, but he looks very uncomfortable in his expressions... was he nervous? You may have to work on getting him to smile more naturally.
#1 I think his outfit would look better with the bottom of the jacket closed, for a slick businessman look it looks a little sloppy
#2 It kind of says 'icky businessman' with the scum on the wall, lol (not to laugh but I'd never guess that I'd be talking about scum on a wall for critique haha) I'd either back away from the wall, open the lens up... or find another wall!
I think you've got some really good settings for this type of portrait, it just needs to be tidied up a bit and for him to relax as much as he can. If he can't, ask him to have a beer or two with lunch, haha.
Ugh don't take anything wrong please I like to joke around too :P
*edit*
So I looked at the rest of the shots on smugmug... I see a few here that are much more natural looking, at least to me
Thank you for the feedback! I definitely think he had a hard time loosening up. I may have made him nervous
Agreed on the scum wall but he wanted the in industrial look. I like it but perhaps less in focus on the wall would have been better. The last one you linked to is much better but I didn't like his expression in that one.

And for this one I think this would crop very well and could replace #2 with the same effect, but no scum, and a more engaging pose/expression:
