Earlier in the summer my girlfriend and I stopped in at Hearst Castle to take the garden tour. Here are a few of the shots that I took while there...
Casa Grande
The Wrestlers - HDR
Neptune's Nook
Blue Light Special - HDR
More info about the HDR's and a bonus pic of Hearst's throne on my photo blog @ http://anvilimage.com/2010/09/03/vacation-to-hearst-castle/ .

I've gone on several of the tours but never the garden tour. Nice stuff you got here!
Some relatives and I took one of the tours back in the mid 1970s and I couldn't resist asking about pool use. They said that staff did use one at times — can't remember which. It may be on one of the slides that I took around 35 years ago. So, what they do could have changed in the meantime as well.
@Jane B.: We asked, too! Our guide (Larry) said that they (the guides) have gotten to swim in the outdoor pool. the indoor pool is not heated and is very cold. On second thought, I'll pass on that cannonball but instead take a margarita poolside outside.
@Indiegirl: Thanks! I'm already looking into a second trip!
