FH in MD
Haven't done much shooting in a while, but was at my daughters' games at HS and college and needed something to do other than yell at refs (about rules I never really understand...)
PS: Our county has put in turf fields at all the high schools which are great--but all the lines for all the sports get awfully busy especially in field hockey photos where so much action is near the ground...
C&C always welcome.

Good shots. It's a weird game to shoot, cause most everything comes from the player's right side and turns clockwise. So unless you're in the right place, all you get is players' backsides.

Anne Arundel County has been putting in turf fields at each of the high schools. The county rec. programs (all sports) also get to use them--and the fields get what seems like constant use. It's been a good investment for the whole county. My girls go to a small catholic girls school--with a cow pasture for a field. So, only when they play county schools or some of the private schools north of Baltimore are they on turf.
Can't agree with you more. I still haven't found a great spot for getting a picture of a goal being scored. Usually is just bunch of bodies (almost looking like 6 year olds playing soccer) with the wood from the bottom of the goal obscuring the ball if you try and shoot from behind the goal line extended to get the face of the goal scorer. Here are a couple of my "misses" for the other day as an example. Anyone have any FH goal scoring successes to share?
This was a goal:

1, Blatent cheating (me - not the girls). This was during warmups. I was right behind the goal shooting through the net, as you can see. Referees would never allow this in a game situation, but I'm thinking of a tripod and remote trigger.
2. And then this one. It's the only goal I've ever caught and even at that, the ball still has not actually crossed the line. The girl with the red stick, just on the right margin has just hit a cracker of a shot.
