album does not exist

so here I am in Papua New Guinea posting on the web via dongle through the local mobile phone company.

I created a new gallery and tried to upload to it but I'm encountering problems.

The gallery is at

Firstly, if I use the java uploader, the photos seem to upload and then, when they're supposed to complete, I get an "Error Uploading: Album Doesn't Exist" error message. If I try to use Olde Faithful to upload, when the page reloads, there are no pictures in the gallery. This occurs both with IE and FF The photos I'm trying to upload are only about 60k each.

If I attempt to use the picasa uploader, I can't find the gallery in the dropdown list which is consistent with the gallery not actually existing. But it is there cos I created it.

Any ideas?

Can you check that you have the latest version of Java? You can get it here:
www.java.com
clicking on 'do I have java?' and following the instructions if there's a newer version available.

What are the filenames of the photos?

Are you able to upload the photos with Send to SmugMug?

Do you have any anti-virus, firewall or internet security software? If so, what software do you use?

well nothing has changed since I came here. In other words, I was uploading absolutely fine in Australia but as soon as I got on this network, I can't upload.

So, java and avast are up to date and have not been issues recently.

Trouble is that I pay quite a bit for bandwidth now so downloading send to smugmug will have to be a last resort.

any other ideas

well i updated java and downloaded send to smugmug and the situation is, as I thought, the same.

If I use S2S it simply tells me that photos failed to upload and asks me if I want to try again

the photo filenames are simple something like

P987625.JPG

and they're all around 60K

If I can't get this working then smugmug is pretty much useless to me and I'll have to find another photo solution.

That is going to be very hard to take

anyone else got any ideas?

thanks for that... I've sent an email. Just an update: I did manage to upload some pics today using picasa's uploader. This has only ever worked for one pic before. Other uploaders are still not working though
