SM Site Errors?

I've recently started using Safari & every time I open SM's site the toolbar shows an error which reads: CSS error: expected declaration but found '*' skipped to next declaration. This is when I open SM's home page.

I get all kinds of other CSS errors showing in the web developer toolbar such as: CSS error: error in parsing value for 'filer': declaration dropped.

More over, I get all kinds of other weird errors, especially after viewing a gallery slide show such as: Javascript error: uncaught exception [exception..."illegal operation on wrappedNative prototype object" nresult: "0x8057000c (NS_error_xpc_bad_op_on_wn_proto)" location: "JS frame:: http/cnd/smugmug.com/include/JS/SM gallery ..... anonymous: line 670 data: no

or others to that effect. It seems I get similar, though somewhat different error messages when I look at other people's sites.

My gallery slideshows seem to be running quite slowly even when I click on fast for viewing. I thought it was me, so I reinstalled the latest versions of Java & Adobe Flash.

Any ideas, thoughts? Is this my problem? Is it something to be concerned about? Obviously, I don't get any messages in IE8 & things seems to run a bit better there.

Interested in what you have to say.

Which web developer toolbar for Safari? What version of Safari, and which OS? I get no errors viewing the site in Safari.

    I'm using Safari 3.6.8. Windows 7, 64 bit.

I don't get errors on dgrin, but do on SM. Thanks for responding. Am interested if anything can be done about it whether it's my issue or SM's.

First, update your Safari browser to the latest. I'm running Safari 5 on Windows 7, 64 Bit, and no errors are showing.

Sorry, Andy. I was mistaken when I said Safari - I meant Firefox! I did see there's a Firefox update which I just installed, but still get the same error messages. Sorry for the confusion... Same problem, though.

Can you completely empty cache in FF, and close & reopen?

Have done that a bunch of times. It doesn't seem to be affecting my ability to browse or work in SM other than the gallery slideshow views running slow.

Update your flash, and then start looking at your addons, disabling them one-by one, one of them could be the culprit.

Try to validate your main page by http://validator.w3.org/ and you will see.
At least you have problems with image's IDs.According to html specification an id must start with letter, but your id's are in form

    Not a clue
what any of this means. I put SM's homepage in that W3C link & it shows 23 errors & 2 warnings. I put one of my pages in & got more than 40 errors. Should I be concerned about this stuff? No idea what any of this really means nor how to change/correct it...
