Not shots of people, but it seemed to go here - maybe it's their absence:

Mods, please don't move this, I completely agree, it should go in "people" to honor the 3,000 plus that lost their lives that day.

Saturday night, on the History channel, they're showing "102 Minutes That Changed America" - it's literally 102 minutes of "civilian" camera footage, tourists, locals, anybody that day that grabbed a camera and started shooting. It's already set on my DVR to record. It airs at 9/8 Central.

This year, my son's old enough to understand the difference between "make believe" and what really happened, hopefully I can explain without tearing up exactly what happened that day.

"United 93" might have to be popped in the DVD player as well.

    May we never forget.

Also, for an interesting read, there's a book that was published a few years later that's written from the media standpoint, most of the well known reporters and newscasters wrote in how they learned the news and how they reacted and how hard it was to maintain composure on the air to not ensue panic as we were being attacked. Tom Brokaw, Peter Jennings to name a few. Shockingly, there was ONE member of the press on board Air Force One with President Bush between D.C. and Barksdale AFB (Shreveport, Louisiana) and she wrote in her account as well. I'm not sure of the name of the book off hand, but it's worth a read, promise.
