my son and a 50mm 1.8

Playing at home with the 50mm 1.8 and my 18 month old son. Who is happy now to pose for the camera as long as he can see the results straight after each shot.
Being indoors and low light I had the aperture wide open which was fine for the first photo and gave great unexpected results on the second.

I really like the low dof on this one. He's really trying for both thumbs up but hasn't quite figured out how to do that yet :rofl

    I love my nifty fifty and so will you, cute shots and little guy too.
    It's the dof that will take some getting used to wide open but I love using it indoors with a full frame sensor....

    Good shots. Next time trigger the flash not direct on the subject. Bounce it of the wall of a ceiling - otherwise it will flatten your photos.

    totally agree and a flash is on the list of must haves!
