Eleonor [Another backlit portrait attempt]
Hello friends!
Just wanted to share another picture of Eleonor. Took this rather early in the morning and the sun was so intense that I felt like it was hanging 3 meters behind her, slightly above her head. She was extremely backlit. So I experimented with some fill flash, and I think it turned out quite well! )
Comments and critics are welcome!

Well spoken! Laconic, yet so expressive! I'll pass that on to her!

: Oh, and congrats on your birthday in arrears! :bday
I'll have to thank the sweet morning sun for the lighting! :

... I agree with you - she is! I guess with a model like this, you just can't fail!

I sorta "missed" this one before. It was rather hazy so I never gave it a closer look other than quick peek at the thumbnail. But when looking through all shots, more thoroughly, I realized that this shot was much better than the other.

I really really try to go easy with the sharpening, since that's one of the most important post process procedure. At first, going from a Fuji Finepix 2800 ZOOM to a F717 I had turned into a "Sharpo-holic", and if the pic wasn't sharpened on the verge of bein' totally jagged, it was soft. I thought that the F717 was extremely soft. (That's how I became a member of the STF - my first post was something like: "MY F717 pics are very soft and the colors are dull...." *Haha* Now, when comparing to the 10D shots, the F717 pics almost looks oversharpened/saturated.
Anyway - now I prefer softer images, but perhaps "I wasn't soft enough" on this shot? :

I'll pass that on to her! :

Wonderful lighting results and great pose. The colors just burst from the screen.

I'm quite happy with it myself, especially since it was my first backlit portrait attempt. :
