Maybe it can be part of our nature... if we look for it.
Too subtle? Photographic quality questionable? Too forced?
Took this photo while trying to do some night photos at my local beach, but the skies were too cloudy. Instead, found this spiderweb on a nearby driftwood, and wondered what it would look like shot with side and back lit lighting. Unfortunately, the abundance of wind and lack of patience hampered a crisper image, and the idea for using this for the challenge did not occur until after I left the site.

I don't see "signals" for this one .
Maybe others will, but too subtle for me.

The lack of sharpness bothers me.
I was going to shoot a black widow under my house and get the hour glass for her signal but:
1.) could'nt get her in focus, a proper macro lens would have helped
2.)My strobe was piss'n her off and she would back up in a defensive position hiding her hour glass.
Back to the drawing board....hmmmm

This is the reprocessed version, still not ideal, but slightly closer to the original intent...
Okay, back to the drawing board also. (And yeah... had a fleeting thought of resubmitting this to DejaVu and entitling it "Haven't I submitted this before????")

The zigzag is a much clearer "signal"
