Hey guys,
I'm going through some of my gear that I no longer use and I came across some filters that I can't ID the manufacturer and in one case the type of filter it is.
I have 2 filters that have the self rotating mechanism like a polarizing filter but the only writing in white letters are the size and the letters CPL.
The other is a regular round screw on filter with the letters LV-SHI MC UV 58mm on it. I'm trying to find out the manufacturer of this one.
BTW, I have some Singh Ray and B&W's filters and the writing is different on them.
Any help would be appreciated.

by rotating you adjust the amount of filtering [ clockwise only ]

"LVSHI" is the brand, and are about as cheap of a filter you can buy (cheaper then cheap), so 'generic' in fact, that they usually do way more harm to a image then any good!
Anyway, "LV-SHI" is the brand, and "MC" stands for Multi Coated, "UV" means that it is a UV filter (filters out UV light). Chances are, this was bought with a kit lens (since it is 58mm) used to protect the front of the lens. I would only ever use that filter if it is absolutly necesary, in a extreme situation, to prevent scratching the front of the lens (like if your shooting in the middle of a sand storm or something)
Edit - here is there website, lol http://www.lida8.com/index.asp
I'm using Singh Ray now. I really don't remember where I got these and I was thinking of selling them so I wanted to figure out what they were.
To be honest I dont' think they're even worth selling.
Thanks for the feedback though.
