Nikon ML-L3 Remote issues

I am trying to use my remote for some shots and I can get the camera set up properly but it seems to revert back to shutter mode after a period of time (couple minutes).

I am taking random shots and there may be several minutes between pictures. I don't see where it should be reverting back. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I have a D90, but your menu is probably similar.

Look at Custom Settings Menu > Timers/AE lock > Remote on duration

The default is 1 min, but you can set it up to 15 min, at least on the d90 you can.

Thank you, Thank you! I think that will do it. I do see that in my menus. I must have missed it last night while scrolling through them all!
