I hate to say this, but neither. They are not compelling to me... Keep shooting!
I didn't find your entry terribly compelling either. I guess shooting a guy in a crosswalk would be safe- but its as bland as a rice cake. I had stare and figure out the "signal" aspect. My entry was a multiple exposure that I added HDR to increase the "confusion and rediculousness" of the gaggle of signage. I wouldn't mind if you had something constructive to say, but to just say "not compelling" without reason accomplishes nothing.
Compelling, to me, means emotionally driven or engaging. I don't think these images have that appeal. All the HDR technique in the world won't change that.
For you to lead with how crappy/un-interesting my images are is classy. Nicely done.
I am trying to see signals but just seeing signs. Directional signs, sorry I am having a struggle with this theme also wish could give something constructive.
But is not sending me signals

We are primarily all amateurs here. I'm here to learn and participate, and simply telling someone to "keep shooting" serves no purpose. Even at the firearms range it would be foolish to tell someone to keep shooting if they were way off the mark and making fundamental errors. In short- correct them and they won't have to keep shooting without effect. As far as the "classy" comment- you really don't know me well enough to accurately determine that.

Signs, lights, painted stripes, cones, even a traffic cop are all considered "traffic devices" by Vehicle and Traffic Law in NY. I wanted to illustrate how these can overload the senses at times.

It's not "saved for web"?
