Since flickr changed their photo viewer and the manner in which you get a link, I can no longer get photo links to work. The link works if I paste it to the address bar but not if I try to post to the forum. What am I doing wrong?

I'm not a Flickr user so can't speak to them. To embed images, you'll need to use the image tag along with the complete URL of the image. Follow the example below:

    [noparse]

    new.gif

    [/noparse]

Your images can be .png, .gif or .jpg. For more help with dgrin, read this.

I.d like to follow up and ask if I can add a link from smugmug to a flickr site? Just in case I might want to have a picture in both places.

You hit the "edit" instead of "reply" :)

I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question.

Click on a picture in flickr. It comes on black. Click view all sizes. Choose the one you want. Right mouse click and choose 'copy image location'. Paste in image brackets as normal.

The OP wants to post a picture from another site on Flickr. Does that work for him?

Oh, I'm a dope. But posting a shot from another site there? No that would defeat the whole purpose of flickr.

Nope, you misunderstood my post. I wanted to grab a link to an image that I had posted on flickr and post it here in the forum. Figured it out - moved all my images here to SM :)

If you use firefox, just right click and "Copy Image Location". Works like a charm. :)

Strange: I just received an email saying that a reply had been posted here. However, the email contained the following post which has nothing to do with this thread and is not related to any of the threads I participate in.

It was a spammer that posted that. That person has been banned and their posts removed.

You received the e-mail because you've got e-mail enabled for replies to the thread and you don't see the message because it was removed.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.
