Hi, I love the misty mornings we get in my part of the world, as soon as the sun comes up the heat starts to lift the mist.

Please don't take this the wrong way, as it's not a loaded question, but how much post-processing was done to this photo? In other words, I want to know that a photo like this can be achieved w/out post-processing, but I'm not convinced it can...

Lovely. The way the sun lights up the mist, it almost looks like a massive wildfire.

Hi Josh. Good question - How much post processing - due to my limited abilities - not much ! I use Lightroom 2 and played with the Blacks, Recovery and a bit of Contrast. No colour added, no saturation boost. Anyway, thanks for looking in and your interest - much appreciated.

    Cheers, Richard.

Great capture, Richard. I love shots that feature mist, fog, low clouds....whatever....and this image is a wonderful example of that genre.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Hi, we have had fires through this area in the past - not nearly as relaxing as a sunrise :D. Thank you for your comment - much appreciated.

Hi Tom, Glad you liked it - the weather conditions have to be just right for the mist to form - if it happened everyday I don't think we would appreciate it so much.

    Cheers, Richard.

Is this what happens when you "early birds" get up? I'm going to have to try that once...

Nice capture Richard. I especially like the shade streaks in the middle of the image, and I also like the crop thumb.gif

Hi Randy, try it at least once - you never know, you might like it! I played about with the crop quite a bit before I was happy with it myself. Thanks for looking in and your feedback.

    Cheers, Richard.
