First impression: ‘Don’t fool around with Glide!’ Quite masculine with a touch of surrealism, may be? Actually, I like it even though I am not always excited about photo editing magic when it comes to blooms. From now on I will look at photos with a different eye and for that, I thank you Neil and, all others who post here to share their artistic vision and love for blooms. I have learned a lot too. In the mean time, my hands will be shaking when I pick up my new toy Canon SX120 I got just a couple of days ago. Wish I bought something else but it will have to do as a learning tool. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

PS: You may also have fun with Paphiopedilums. Hope I am not breaking any laws by copying this image from another web site. (I think it is Paph. spicerianum, but not 100% sure.)

Hehe, I won't promise not to "fool around"! I would never be able to keep such a promise, not with all the beautiful things around!<img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/mwink.gif&quot; border="0" alt="" >D

Yeah, there was a group of those flowers (tribe?, they look so "ethnic"!) in the conservatory with the orchids etc. We don't normally think of flowers "working hard", but some flowers certainly do, and these in particular, all that energy and resources going into such an elaborate display and construction. We think of flowers as pretty smiling faces, but good heavens, they are very serious business, and there is so much physics and chemistry, as well as entomology, and likely anthropology!, in their methods.

Very nice to discuss with you!
