I've gone out to shoot the WTC Tribute in Light the past few years, looking for a different vantage point each time. This year, I went over to Staten Island. There is a 9/11 Memorial overlooking New York Harbor, facing lower Manhattan and the site of the towers.

This is the memorial, from an earlier visit.

They were holding a memorial service there Saturday evening. NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Staten Island Borough President James Molinaro were among the speakers. A member of the FDNY rang this ceremonial fire bell following a reading of the names Staten Island residents lost in the WTC.
