Been extraordinarily busy but here are some images of an anhinga from Brazos Bend State Park south of Houston, Texas.

I wish the light had been better but that is rather hard to control.

Love the series! That first shot is pretty darn amazing.
Does that pond have any clear water at all?

The lake is actually quite clear but in this section the duckweed was very thick. Thanks all for the comments.

Good set Stephen. The duckweed can be a pretty background in better light.

Duckweed is pretty useful. It serves as protective cover for frogs and the like and its a food source for water birds. Also in Southeast Asia it is eaten by humans.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Nice set. I like the one with the wings spread taken from behind.
