That is a really great capture. half of me wants to see shadows on the ground... the other half of me wants to see a set of stairs

I love this picture. It is my kind of photo. It is technically well executed and fits the challenge topic. Candidly, I don't see it winning first place in the challenge because it lacks the kind of hook that appeals to a wide range of tastes, but, IMHO (which I concede is worthless), it is a good candidate for the top ten and just achieving that would be quite an honor. : So go for it and good luck!!
