I've always wanted to try one of these challenges, but never seemed to get around to it. So I finally just told myself to pick up the darn camera and put myself out there!
So here is my attempt at "Signals". If it makes any difference, this is pretty much a good representation of the signal my wife gave me when I pitched her the idea.
Thoughts are welcome! Even worth submitting?

The thumb could be in better focus. Now that I look closer at it.

I found it especially challenging because I'm on the wrong side of the lens! Holding my remote in the left hand, while trying to get the thumb on the right. DOF is all over the place, or the composition...bah.
Note to self, next time don't be the subject and the shooter! It was a fun process though. Going from something I visualized ahead of time, and getting reasonably close to my vision in the final product.
I showed this to a friend, and he picked up on the whole Roman/Caesar/Gladiator thing theme that I had in my head right from the start! I was very surprised, because I didn't think people would think of the significance of this symbol from the perspective I had imagined.
Anyway...Thanks a ton to those of you that gave me some feedback. Even though I'm left with this single submission, you all drove me to try to do better, and that alone was a great learning experience!
