My 2nd post and I hope I'm in the right spot to ask for assistance.

I have always enjoyed photography and found this site through ADV Rider. I've been lurking, reading and love the photos on here. There is obviously a lot of talent that resides here. Also love the Tutorials. :thumb

I have this Leica film camera with a little problem. I can't find anyone locally to fix it or where it could be mailed to for repair. It looks like a simple fix but dang if I can figure out how it goes back and how it should stay in place. Might even be a piece missing but I have no parts diagram to determine that.

I may try to post a picture if I can't explain this well enough.

There is a little silver clip inside the left side where the film loads. This piece apparently applies tension to the new film roll is my guess. This piece fell out, I have it but I can't see how it should fit back in or why it fell out.

If anyone has a clue I'd appreciate any info.

Thanks, cool site. :bow

Most companies are bad at responding to email. It's always best to call and talk to a live person.

I went though their website the first attempt to contact them without much luck, if I remember correctly they really weren't interested or wanted an arm and a leg to look at it, so I started looking for local help, later gave up.

should have just mailed it to them, might have it back by now.ne_nau.gif

    Thanks, I'll try again.

As a general rule I believe it to be in bad form to link to another forum from the present one, but I truly believe you would have much better luck here as it more germane to your needs.

A fair amount of users are familiar with fixing their own gear over there.

    Edit: Good luck.

I've got a C3 that I bought new for my mom and she never used it. It's sits in its case in the library just waiting for a new home.
