When you have a 3-1 lead midway through the second half, you don't expect to lose in OT. Actually "my" girls won, but I thought the shot was really about the exhausted defender.

    Congratulations on the win.

In my opinion, I think that if the photo were about the exhausted defender, you would have been on the other side of the field with the defender in focus and the celebration in the background. That would have told a story of defeat. This one is clearly about victory.

I agree - about the first shot. Not so much about position - you're not going to get across field in time. But if the story you wanted to tell was about the defender that's who should have been in focus.

Y'all give me WAY too much credit for planning. I didn't plan the shot to be about the defender. I was clearly focused on the celebratory group. Sure, a shot of the defender in foreground with the celebration in BG would have been more powerful, but that's not what reality presented me with. The group shot would have been far less interesting without the defender, don't you think?
