Got Sun?

We had a VERY dreary summer. But we finally got a little sun the past few days.

Sunset across Cook Inlet.

Mount Redoubt shot from 110 mi away. No clouds in the sky to produce color because they were on the ground/water. Note the gases venting from the right flank of the mountain.

What do you mean "no color"?!?!?! I see plenty of beautiful orange skies there!

Thanks for the comments, folks. I didn't mean to imply the second shot didn't have any color, but not the fire in the sky effect that partial cloud cover provides. I actually like the pastel colors in that one. That evening I was hoping the sun would light up the top of the fog but the sun dropped below the rim of the mountains before it got colorful. All in all, it was just nice to see the horizon for a change
