Hi. Google Chrome and...?

Hello one and all! I'm new to SmugMug and DGrin - thanks already for some of your posts. Before I get too much further I just have to check a few things:

a) Am I going to experience any problems with SM using Google Chrome? It shouldn't matter, right?

b) Is there a way to use an essentially "stretchy," full size filmstrip on the home page rather than the slideshow? I'm getting bleary scrolling through posts...

Lots of good stuff in the forums though, so I'll keep wading through - I just had to ask that before I get to far. What? I like Google Chrome... fast and clean - but I'm not especially techy... so maybe there's something not well with it. Please let me know. Thanks! Eric

Chrome is included on the supported systems page at http://www.smugmug.com/help/supported-systems.

As far as your other question goes, I have seen someone with a long filmstrip, can't remember the post but it's somewhere here. You would need to place the code in your bio box, and you would also need to expand the size of that box. The implementation I saw made the page very very wide though, and I don't think that's a friendly way to present a web page. There may be other presentations out there, but it's not something standard with smug. If you can find an example, post it (probably in the customization forum) and I'm sure someone will try to help.

    thanks
Thanks Denise - I'll keep looking for that thread! I did manage to get stretchy on my homepage and bio box... but still tweaking with the building. Thanks again! Eric

    Google Chrome
It is interesting to read that SmugMug supports Chrome, as I was told on September 1st in correspondence with the support desk that it does not officially support Chrome:

    Hi Karen
Thanks for getting back to us. We don't officially support Chrome, which means we don't test on it and we don't make sure that things work with all of the browser updates. We probably will at some time in the future, as Chrome gains more widespread use. We do support IE and Firefox, as they are currently the most widely used browsers on Windows. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We are always happy to help.

There are differences in the way my galleries display depending on whether I am using Chrome or IE. That said, I often prefer the way they look (and behave) in Chrome. Go figure.
