A somewhat different view of Chicago
I made a brief trip to Chicago a few weeks ago. It was mainly a family visit, but I did get out to do a bit of shooting.
Millennium Park is always full of shooting ops. I've posted a number of shots from there in the past, but I can't resist posting another, this one from the Crown Fountain:

Instead of doing the usual skyline shots near Lake Michigan, I spent some time exploring some of the older, industrial areas of the city. Here's the Sears Building seen from west of the Loop:

There are many old factories and warehouses just southwest of the center of town. Some are still in use, some are abandoned:

Sometimes it was hard to tell. There wasn't a soul around, except for an occasional security guard.

On the way to catch the flight back to Madrid, I grabbed a shot of the Leaning Tower of Touhy, in Niles, a northwestern suburb. It's a half-scale replica and looks entirely silly.
