As I scrolled down the photo I wasn't overly impressed, til I got to the bottom and realized it's a reflection!!
To me this is one of your best reflection shots. It's as though you caught them going into some time warp.
This absolutely rocks! ...and by far the best of the reflection shots.
My take is that you must be at the front of the vehicle shooting at the dim track outside. The front glass must curve toward you, reflecting the much stronger light of the interior to get the people.
Thanks, everyone. Rainbow was close. The window was angled, further away from the car at the bottom than at the top. Light was scarce in the tunnel and of course we were moving, so I cranked the ISO up to 12,800 and shot straight ahead at 17mm, f/4.5, 1/50 sec. I'm still a little amazed that I ended up with something usable.

On initial viewing it is completely disorienting.
Completely disorienting indeed. Thanks for your explanation. I totally see it now.
The use of a camera is similar to that of a knife. You can use it to peel potatoes, or carve a flute. ~ E. Kahlmeyer
