Are you asking how to apply a watermark directly to your photos, or are you asking how to apply a watermark to your photos in a SmugMug gallery?

In a smugmug gallery: to start with, you will need a pro-level account. See help page at http://www.smugmug.com/help/custom-watermark-protection.

If you are talking about applying watermarks in general (outside of smug), you might try a web search. Here's one that I just ran - http://www.google.com/search?q=apply+watermark+to+photo.
