Was in Hoboken yesterday and had dinner. Took a walk after dinner. Noticed this guy performing and the little guy in the background checking him out. Just thought it was...interesting.

Yes, but since he is in motion that wouldn't have been easy. I agree that the kid is important to the shot. I would be tempted to crop the left some so that there's less (or even none) of the bright sign. The kid might stand out a bit more that way.

I agree with Richard in regard to the sign. I'd cut off that whole left third.

I see what you mean about the sign. I just liked the bag for money on the ground. I'll have to crop that out and see how it looks. Thanks.

The bag is cool, especially since the blues complement the blues that the man is wearing. Unfortunately, sometimes we have to make painful cuts!

The bag was nice for the reason damon said, but it wasn't necessary to tell the story. I think we still know that it's a street musician. I much prefer the cropped version.

Yes, I prefer the cropped version and rather enjoy the mystery behind the child. The blur forces me to focus on the musician.

Honestly, at first, I didn't care for the cropped version, however, after walking away and coming back, I think I agree. I like it better.

I think there's an option between the two. Take it square. Keep the sign in but be brutal with the empty space on both the left and right.
