Priviet, dear friends!

This place in far away Siberia is called Shushenskoye.
It was very famous in the USSR times as there was a museum 'Lenin in exile'
Lenin was in exile here in last years of XIX century...
Now this is a museum of living in XIX.

Yes, times ... they are changing... Now we have a generation with kids not knowing who Linin was! 20 years ago I couldnt even imagine it!!!
Every city/town had their Lenin square/street
Every city had Lenin's monument...
2766.jpg
Here's my wife and a friend of mine near such a monument....

Must say that this exile seems to be not so severe....
2767.jpg
This is an 'unpretentious' house where Lenin lived

He married here...
Here is their room:
2770.jpg
There were rumours that the bed of Vladimir Lenin and his wife Nadezhda is in leasing for "just married"...
2769.jpg
As you can see, they slept separately...

To be continued...
Yuri

    These shots are great Yuri.thumb.gif

Nightingale ( my DW) and I love historical exhibits and museums. The spare furnishings of the buidings are so lovely in the late afternoon light, reminds me of Vincennes which is one of the oldest towns in Indiana going back to pre-Revolutionary times here in the USA. Here is a school building from the 19th century there
