wow, is that a bee or a hummingbird? Excellent captures. I'm very impressed with the clarity, color, and framing of all these shots. the last fly photo seems to have some dust or noise or something over the leaf, which is a little distracting.

    Thanks for the input RZ,

I don't know what that thing is ne_nau.gif I was hoping someone would chime in and give us a clue.

That's dust in the air on the last one. The side/back sun unfortunately shows that all too well.

    Randy,

That combo, including the TC, seems to be working very well for you. These are really nice shots. I don't know what that creature is, but if it can sting you I wouldn't get within a mile of it.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

    Randy,

it is Clearwing Moth; either Hummingbird Moth which is actually mistaken for a hummer. Or it could be Bumblebee Moth. These guys have clear wings and strange abdomens for sure and do look like bugs. If you check the site below, you may be able to tell the difference between the two.

    Thanks Stephany,

Based on the info in your link, I believe it to be a Bumblebee Moth.

I appreciate your efforts to locate this info thumb.gif
