I personally think it's zoomed in too much...

    I don't think its zoomed in too much. i would have preferred a straight on capture for this kind of close up of both eyes. With that head angle I think I would have just gone for the left eye.

    eyes are not sharp enough for this kind of shot

    Just curious . . . did you shoot this with your Tamron 70-300? If so, I think I'm seeing a pattern.

    No this was with my old camera... not great for detail or sharpness
