    Howdy Randy,

Great series, I really like each and everyone of them,

    I think you've got a great new friend:D that 7D is really

    producing some beautiful images.

I really like the Reflections in the Glass also, throws another
    dimension into it.
    Take care,

    Craig

    Hey Craig,

Seems like each and every time I go to the stockyards, I find something different to shoot.

I have a couple of other series from there that I'll post later.

    The 7D ~ still in it's "trial" period ne_nau.gif

I keep coming to this series; #1 is my choice. I am glad you kept the candy buckets out of ‘my’ focus J . On the other hand, who cares about a little noise when it comes to candies, right?. Was that your concern? Here I am, again, not knowing what I am talking about, seriously.

    Howdy Stephany,

Glad you like the series! All these were shot with a 35L wide-open @ f/1.4 for the shallow DOF. On the candies shot, the front barrel is the only one that is supposed to be in focus. Not sure what your refering to about the noise ne_nau.gif

    Thanks for looking and commenting!

    Randy,

Please let me try to explain. I’ve tried in a very cumbersome way to say that- in this instance- my sweet tooth wanted to see all the candy barrels in focus. I understand, this was not your intent but did not know why. L You see, I am trying to learn and better understand the choices you guys make; whether artistic or technical. In this instance I asked myself: Why did Randy use shallow DOF? Did he think the shot would be more interesting? Did he want to tease the viewer? Or, he did not have another lens handy? Or, was the light poor and he did not want to go with higher ISO and aperture because of noise? Does it make any sense? Or, am I looking at it the wrong way?
