I think there is a quick and easy way to convert the contents of a Microsoft Word document to a .jpg file without printing out the doc. and scanning it. Seems like I used to know how to do this, but I can't remember -- and I can't find any notes I may have made. Can anyone provide simple step-by-step directions, please? BTW, I use ACDSee editing software, so telling me how to do something in Photoshop or whatever will leave me clueless. :dunno

I need this info ASAP so I can add something to one of my S.M. galleries.

THANKS !!

Try not to add color to your dgrin posts. I use the white theme, and your white on white text is unreadable :)

Get a free program like skitch (for macs) or jing (for mac or win) and just make a screen grab. Takes about 30seconds.

Taking a screen shot of text tends to leave you with text that is difficult to read. I believe that you are better off placing the text directly in your gallery description, not taking a screen shot of a document.

I agree with Denise, put the text in the gallery description.
Just about anything you can do in Word can be done with html and CSS.
Including photos interspersed in the text..

Save the Word doc to a txt file and copy from that and paste into the
gallery description. Might even post a screen shot of the Word doc so we
can see how you want it formatted and help with the code.

I run across problems like this all the time. And I use a free solution that works pretty well--zamzar.com. I'll tell it to convert the doc to a pdf and then the pdf to jpg. Works pretty well!

If you have a mac, in the print dialog box select PDF/Save As PDF. It creates the PDF file from any document that allows printing.
