Funny shot Rainbow and way to get so close to the action.
I'm enjoying the laugh on the cop, makes me wonder about the "joke" or who he's talking too.
I like that you caught the female undercover/plainclothes jotting things down.
The cuffed guy in the middle seems to be sharing the same joke as the cop, or looking at the same thing anyway.
This was a walk-by shooting (by me with the camera, not by the cuffed subjects). I was approaching the scene and without breaking stride, turned the camera on, set aperture to f/5.6, and took the shot from the hip with the camera slung over one shoulder. That is a tremendous benefit of shooting at 17mm.
The officer on the left is speaking with another cop. But the lamppost is between them, so I cropped it out (which probably makes it better even if no post is there).
I did not stop to shoot because this was taken in Canada, and I was not familiar with whether there were any restrictions on shooting such a scene. Five minutes later when I returned, they were gone.
Canada!?! They arrest people in Canada?! I thought they just said 'have a good day, eh,' smiled, and sent them on their way. That's what's so great about Dgrin - you learn something new every day... :-)

The arresting cops smile and say, "Have a good day, eh!" when the paddy wagon departs:giggle
