Couple of firsts

Firstly - apologies for not posting more often but still being a relative newbe (only had a DSLR for nearly 2 years) I actually find myself being intimidated by most of the high quality photographers here so I tend to 'lurk n learn' - hope you don't mind.

Back to my shots - couple of firsts for me last weekend, first is my progression to Full Frame and the second even bigger step was on the Sunday 'race day' decided out of the blue to shot in nothing but Manual - having never used anything other than shutter or aperture priority.

Sony (YES really) a900 & 70-400G handheld.

#1 you buy an Aston Martin Advantage / send it back to the factory and replace every panel with 'naked' carbon fiber and then race the hell out of it (and win)

#2 flat out

#4 few of the classics

#6 I know this one is a little OOF but I really like the effect

As I said - a big day of learning for me but on the whole I'm really quite happy with them all, feel free to check out the rest but be warned - there are lots and lots (got a little carried away) http://david-stallard.smugmug.com/Petrol-Head

Thanks for looking and I promise I will try to post more. . . .

I'm not a pro but I do know what I like... and I like #6 a lot! The other shots are excellent but there's just something that catches the eye about #6. Good job!
