I think #5. It has a nice story.

The skins don't really do it for me. #1 is my 2nd choice. #2 is nice, but doesn't asy leather as strongly to me and I think the sepia works better in the others.

    What a great location!
I really like the way #5 lays out. Really nice!

I agree the sepia seems to say leather better than b&w

Love the composition in #5, also drawn to the textures in #4. these are great images!! Nice job. I would have a tough time choosing which one to enter.

I really like all of these, with the stacked skins in sepia my fav. I agree with others that Sepia color has more of a saddle leather feel. My only concern is people may not get "leather" out of the stacked skins photo so I would submit #5 if it was me.
    #5
The lighting is really good, the saddle frame is a little hot(blown out) though other wise the composition is perfect really nice job. Great job

Thanks for the wonderful feedback I was leaning towards 5 it has more story to it. The tonal range is better too. I will probably put that one in unless something else works out better.

#1 and #4. I love the contrast in both but #1 is a beautyfish.

I really love the lighting and the texture of the pile of hides in #4.

Also like #5. The lighting on the wooden mold (?) looks a little harsh, though. At least on this monitor it does. Is it possible to tone it down a little to bring out the wood grain a bit more?

Either one of those two are worthy contenders. thumb.gif

Great job on your entry! The wood grain on the saddle frame really adds to the image, & and also bringing the exposure down makes the saddle leather in the bckgrnd stand out.

    Good Luck!

#4 is my favorite. I love the textures. But it does need the title to tell me it is leather.

I love the one you chose to submit, but I wanted you to know that I also (along with others here) loved #4. What a fascinating photo. Great texture, and because I recognized what it was right away, for me it has great drama. Nice shots all around!
