While I was shooting in Times Square- there was a film crew (NYPD cop tv series) also shooting. There are certain "givaways" (ie: fictional precinct numbers on collar brass, uniform faux-pas, etc)

Can you spot the actors?

    #4 are the actors.
:) Fun game--Though I have to say they all look like actors to me.

    I enjoyed this post.

It is #4. The 12 house was closed years ago, and the building is now used as an NYPD storage facility. You can also note the actors in #4 are not wearing body armor which is in violation of the patrol guide.

Now, don't you think it would be wise to block out the shield number of the MOS in #2 and 3? Again, for someone who says their otj, one would think that person migt take an extra step to not potentially screw a fellow MOS.

Curious--why block out the shield numbers--they are clearly visible to the public. Also they are not doing anything wrong that could get them reported. Not being confrontational--but why take that step? Can cops not be photographed?

As a whole, our profession has never been one where we make alot of friends as you can imagine. If you get one person who you collard up and has an axe to grind, and access to information, the results could be ugly. I'm not trying to start a pissing match either, but why take the chance?. Judging by a pm I received from misterb, I suspect he works for an agecy where he would not have to encounter such problems much. I won't speak for any other guy/girl otj, but I hate being photographed in uniform. Ironic for someone who loves to shoot, I know. But there's a whole pandora's box of bs that could easily be opened up even in the most innocent of scenarios.

Ahhhh.. this coming from a guy who said I have a thin skin! eek7.gif

Those guys are simply doing thier job- and they have nothing to hide.

Now if they were "tuning up" someone who sorely needed it- that would be different.. and I wouldn't even take a shot.. actually- I might even participate.. mwink.gif

Lighten up and stop quaking in your boots.

BTW- the long sleeves this time of year was also a giveaway.

There was a reason you got that PM.. and please don't cast aspersions about me, my "previous life" in uniform, or my comraderie.

Then- maybe I'll take you off my "ignore list". rolleyes1.gifD

Thin skin lol. Did I start a whole thread about it? No, I did not. I simply asked for a little discretion, especially for those of us who work for a load of political fatcats who wouldn't even begin to undestand the job and who would screw you at every chance. Have you ever been screwed by CCRB? Furthermore, I've never cast any aspersions of your job. I simply deduced which agency you worked for by your pm. I don't care what your numbers are, or what kind of a cop you are/were. I just asked for a little discretion. So, who's got their panties in a twist now?

My guess for the actor was going to be Rob Reiner standing in the background of this shot:

Interesting shots, Bob. And Kenny, are you stirring up stuff here too? :D You should have come out and shot the UN arrivals, it would have kept you out of trouble!

This thread shows the CBS Crime Drama "Blue Bloods" and I shot the character "Jamie Regan" (Will Estes)

Here's the seats by the set.. I'm guessing "Renzulli" is the SGT also in my shots.
