My new car!

Been several weeks since I've been active here... eh, I guess life gets in the way sometimes. One BIG thing is that I bought my very first NEW car :barb. I absolutely LOVE it. It's a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen TDI... yes, it's a diesel. Humongous sunroof (56" long!!!) and a DSG transmission. Well, I washed and waxed the beast yesterday, so I got my camera out today. Here are the results.
C&C, as always, is more than welcome.

Congratulations on the new car and the nice series!
I agree about shot no. 5, looks like it came right out of Top Gear.

I hope it lasts you many, many moons

Thanks I-D! Greatest show on television.
Thanks Doug. Congrats on your new ride too. The red is just a "POW" kinda red, isn't it? What's ironic is that I don't like red cars, but this is my third... maybe I actually do like them.
I wouldn't say that's it's a sad state to get one w/o the TDI. You've got yourself one of the nicest cars in its class
You know, I've never heard a bad thing about VW until I got the internet . My uncle had his Mk IV Jetta for over 400,000 miles and zero problems. He buys nothing but Jettas. In fact, I don't know a single person (other than my blogosphere friends) who has a VW with any problems. BMW, on the other hand...
I think the issue is that with VW, when it rains, it pours. Either way, I still bought the extended warranty
Thanks Stella. The pano roof is enormous! I love it. The TDI is a terrific engine, I think this will be the first of many. Head on over to TDIclub.com... bunch of crazy oil-burner lovers over there.

The 'net has a way of concentrating the number of apparent problems with a brand. I see the same thing with Nikon users. I've shot Nikon for 30 years and have had near zero problems but it's not hard to find people who hate Nikon and are happy to say so.
Disclosure: I worked for VWGoA for nearly three decades before I retired.
