This might be my first post in Landscapes. I'm not sure. Well here goes nuttin . . .

And in case you were wondering what kind of IQ a D700 with the Nikkor 24-70 f2.8 is capable of, here's a crop of the radio tower. Check out the guy wires. :D

    are the houses naturally blue or were you cooling the colors down?

    Thank you everyone for your kind comments. This was an HDR composite, done in CS5. The exposures used for the HDR covered roughly six stops. As far as the color of the houses, I expect they did come out looking a bit blue, because the sides facing me were in very deep shadow. Looking back at the exposure that would have been proper for the houses, they look less blue. I'm obviously just learning about HDR.

    The bird was only in the last shot, so there was no ghosting for me to have to deal with. I'm still a bit blown away that the guy wires are visible on the radio tower, especially given the HDR treatment. Guess my tripod's steady enough.

    Thanks. They're both the same photo though. #2 is just a crop from #1.
