I'd try a sepia tone on that.

I like the idea of the lace and leather gloves, just not crazy about the pose. What about a closeup of them side by side holding hands as their walking??Just a thought. The Austin Powers is good too, but agree about the blue toning

Thanks Karin, Linda & Tom for the comments. The first 4 look a lot different than the vision inside my head, hence the 5th. Probably the biggest problem is that I don't have a small hand that fits in the little lace glove, so I stuffed it with felt & used double stick tape to hold it together (my vision was on the lines of the finger touch in the E.T. movie but the lacy hand looked very fake touching end to end with the leather glove). These were the only shots that might pass for a real kids' hand - but now that you know, they probably look fake too! I thought they looked a little weird, but was hoping they might work. And on #5, I wasn't sure if it would convey the Austin Powers look in a sepia tone, but may go with that (FWIW, it's a blue suede jacket!). Otherwise, I have another thought & hope to put that together in the next day or so. Thanks again for the comments!

    8. Not gonna call it this, but my first self-portrait (& my 27 year old wedding dress)!

Thanks for the comments tinamarie52 & TLVoDra. Got me in a much better swing of things, but still having a tough time choosing on this one. I put an entry in (#6 a little desaturated), and it's okay but I'm not completely thrilled with it.

These include my mom's wedding dress & my daughter's flower girl dress. My hubby thinks the different shades are too distracting for the monotone processing. I kinda like the way the colors show up so differently - my mom's dress is blue, mine is cream & daughter's is white. I also would prefer to enter one of these because they hold more meaning for me (& I like the rows of covered buttons!!). C&C will be much appreciated!

Of the last 3, I like #2 with the whole sewing maching in the frame.

What an awesome lace collection you have!

#10 is very nice, but I also liked a lot your previous entry!

I think both are very strong contenders - beautiful work thumb.gif

Thanks Chris, Linda, Tom & Tatiana - I very much appreciate the feedback & very kind comments.
Kinda funny about my "lace collection" - had to rummage through my attic & my mom's cedar chest to find these!
