    Nice! thumb.gif

You remind me of taking the night train from Madrid to Lisbon and passing large orchards of cork trees! (1966!)

    Howdy Don,

    Thanks!!!

I'll bet that was a wonderful Journey, I'd never heard of the

Cork Orchards until we'd visited the Northern Part of Portugal

Very interesting technique how they harvest the Cork from the

    Trunks of the trees.

    Hi Craig,

I always thought your Portugal series was really good stuff. This one is no exception. thumb.gif

Neat looking door there. Cork really? I can see the handle or what looks like a handle. Wonder how it works? Must be a pull type one.

Looks like there use to be a doggie door on the bottom of the door. For a small doggie rolleyes1.gif

    Howdy Mary,

This was from the Monastery in Sintra, Portugal, the Monks used Cork in so many things there, I don't think you'd of liked it there, you could here the Buzzing way before getting close. I guess the Bees had built their nests in and behind all the Cork coverings

    Howdy Anthony,

Thanks, it's unbelievable how many images I've got stored on the 4 external hard drives, some of them are like new finds when I see them again after a few years.

I need to come up with a good organizational program to get them all cataloged and organized.
    Take care,
