Well in the last week or so been so lucky with some so called backyard shooting. I have had Coopers Hawks, Redtail Hawks and the Peregrine Falcons flying around trying to snag a pigeon for a meal. Tonight I seen these bird wiz by me real fast and at first I though that this was a coppers hawk, and after seeing the images it turned out to be the falcon and only one good shot. They are so fast I had a hard time trying to locate and track this speed bullet.

Thanks Al, no just 2 juveniles is all that I have seen so far, but I keep looking for them and would love to see an adult.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Really nice shot of that guy. We have them around here but I haven't located anyplace to find them consistently enough to even try any captures. May be just as well as freezing motion on those missles may be beyond my skills. Nice job thumb.gif

Thank you very much for the comments on this image. Yes I know what you mean about being around places. I have not seen them since, but you never know if they will show up again. They have a long range that they can cover, and this one was from Ohio, and I'm in Toronto so that is a long way from home.

Great shot Dennis, I have never seen the younger ones just the adults and usually sitting on deadwood piles on the open prairie. To catch one in flight and low enough to capture is fantastic.

Thanks Deb, we had a pair of them around here for about a week and seem to have moved on? I have seen them from a distance but never this close up and glad that I had the camera with me. Thanks again.
