How to spot a leopard
We're driving along with our guide, when he tells us a leopard has been spotted. So we drive quickly to the spot where one other car is also looking for the leopard. The two cars drive around for awhile when our guide suddenly gets excited and tells us he has spotted the leopard. He describes a spot where two rocks join, but none of us can see anything. Having located the spot, we look through binoculars (or a camera with a 500mm lens) and eventually do spot the leopard. How he spotted the leopard without binoculars I'll never know!
Our guide suggests waiting a bit, just in case. 20 minutes later, our patience was rewarded, and he sticks his head up.
Deciding it's obviously getting cool enough he got up to have a yawn
and a stretch
before walking down the rocks
to check out the cars before heading off to mark his territory
