Went looking for textures for compositing, and snapped these along the way! Hobart, Australia's most southerly state capital, Tasmania.
1. Old warehouses and industrial buildings, now hotels, apartments, pubs etc, next to the port.
2. Looking south to the city from the block behind the northern waterfront.
3. Hotels, galleries, apartments etc adjacent to 1800s warehouses on waterfront.
4. View to the city along waterfront.
5. Commercial and industrial buildings dating from 1800s on the waterfront.
6. Well, a corner!
7. Waterfront pub, The Telegraph, looking up to the city.
8. One end of State Parliament opposite.
9. Garden in front of State Parliament.
10. Southern part of waterfront, warehouses dating from 1800s, now galleries, restaurants, hotels, apartments, pubs, shops. The Saturday art, crafts, produce market, Salamanca Markets, is held in the area in front of these buildings.
11. Kelly's Steps, 1840.
12. Out back of a gallery.
13. Grain silos converted to apartments on southern waterfront.
14. Lenna House, 1876, now hotel and restaurant, above southern waterfront.
15.Corner of park at Battery Point, originally area of defense installations above harbour.
Shot with 24-105 f4L ISM USM, which can have marked colour fringing at times which I didn't treat in conversion but should have.:huh Strong middle of the day light, a real challenge for shots, but great to be out in in springtime, temp ~16degC. Conversion and basic adjustments in CapOne5, processed for wa distortion correction in DxO, for finetuning in Photoshop, LightZone and Noise Ninja.
I did also get some good textures.:thumb
Hope you enjoyed!
