There is a lot of irrigation around me, and it seems to bring in a lot of birds. I shot the picture during my early morning walk. I used a neutral density gradient filter to bring down the top of the photo....a color gradient filter to slightly change the color on the bottom of the photo......then softened it a little to get rid of some of the detail........shot with a Nikon 80x200 f2.8 lens at 300mm ... I have a 1.5 sensor.... This is the 504th picture that I have taken in walking distance of my house, and have shown all of them.
I walk every morning and shoot pictures every morning..... Well close to everyday:D

Thanks Mary Kim.......When they are around I see it a lot....but have a hard time getting close enough to get a good shot....
This looks like an oriental watercolor -- just great how it turned out
